Original picture taken by Lori from Vintage Indie Thank you so much for your shot, I don't know how to say it but I just love the way you captured the beach and snow. It fits my cover and I really, really, thank you for this.
You already know that I love to write- I write everyday and it's my habit. My hands love to move around above the white, vulnerable thing you call it paper. I'm on my project of writing, my serious kind of project, called Runaway.
It's not that I take The Corrs song title but Runaway itself has a deep meaning for the story. It's likely about someone who trying to escape from her own problem.
What is it all about?
I'm not a fan of vampire, wolfs, and angels. So I write about an usual girl with her life, romantic boyfriend stuff, a happy life and adventure dreams. Still can't move on around love topics, (Yeah, who can't? Even horror stories need a love part.) I used it as a main topic of the story.
What is the connection between snow and the beach and also the characters?
The setting I choose is winter, and most of people haven't seen the beautiful beach when it covered up with snow. It came on my mind because snow time is rare setting to put on the novels. I decided to choose winter because of its cold, glam atmosphere and shivers. Ah I wish I could touch the snow for once. Well I managed to REALLY touch it for the next years. :P
Actually winter made me remember for its different kind of situation, where you feel yourself as a fragile human, and the coldest whispering wind.. it's so romantic and all..
The story I made, it's not completely about young love. But life, how hard is it outside your own world.
Meet the character:
Ruby Cattleree, the main character.
I made it from Bitstrips! All cute stuff there, to make your own comics! I'm in love with this website.
Ruby Catleree is a college student of literature. Brand new twenties, work in a unique restaurant near beach. She has a little sister named Edna, with who she lived in her house. Well as you can see, she is brunette, vintage lovers, a music fan. She loves to hanging around and do different stuff. As a part-time waitress, she is well-known in her restaurant. Has an amazing boyfriend called Lucas, and in this story, this couple is the main source of EVERYTHING. Ruby parents divorced when she was thirteen. She has friends who always there for her. Her favorite singer is Jack Johnson. Ruby loves beach so much--That's why she works near beach. A roller skater, she likes sport, and spend her time mostly to think about Lucas and their tradition of communication. Both of them choose to sent letters than phone chat.
Well that's all I can say about Ruby. Why must 'Ruby'? Besides it's one of the most expensive kind of stone, Foster The People song with the title Ruby inspired me. The lyrics, however, describe the real Ruby herself:
She got a call from a guy just seeing if she's alright
Yeah
She's got a fistful of tears held back by the strength of five
And she says, "Happiness ain't free
Everybody fights just like me
But I've given up the ability to retreat."
Yeah
She's got a fistful of tears held back by the strength of five
And she says, "Happiness ain't free
Everybody fights just like me
But I've given up the ability to retreat."
I inspired by a lot of music I heard lately, and mostly acoustic breeze. In which it gave me a lot of ideas, from the guitar, the voice or even the lyrics. Runaway talk about a different perspective of love. It's tragic, not as tragic as Romeo and Juliet, but it needs blood, and feelings.
I hope this project can be done since my time on Senior High School is very thight. I haven't even finished to read any fiction books!
Your advice or opinion about my ideas will help me a lot. So come on, write your own thought about this. Thank you! See you in another time!
P.S.: The Champions League is on the way and Real Madrid going to win this time. Watchout. :P
